Marie Wehrung is a seasoned talent development professional and certified coach. In her former role at Rice University, Marie oversaw programs that enable organizational, team, managerial, and individual success. She worked with employees and departments to enhance workplace performance, and provided professional development resources to meet organizational needs.
Marie has an AB in Biological Sciences from Smith College, and an MS in Human Resources Development from Texas A&M University - Central Texas. She’s especially passionate about two things: applying design thinking to the work she does, and impacting lives through coaching others and facilitating Crucial Learning’s (formerly VitalSmarts) Crucial Conversations for Mastering Dialogue, Crucial Conversations for Accountability, Influencer and Getting Things Done programs.
Marie lives in Houston, Texas with her husband Len. They are mostly empty nesters - daughters Olivia and Gaby are in grad school and junior year of college, respectively. She maintains her sanity through running and yoga.
